Mark Gladney is the Founder and Managing Principal of 1011, an independent asset-management and owner-advisory firm focused on boutique, historic, and lifestyle hotels.
He brings more than a decade of experience across real estate asset management, investment oversight, specialty assets, risk management, and governance. His work has included evaluating asset performance, overseeing third-party managers and professional service providers, reviewing capital and transaction decisions, addressing complex risk matters, and translating property-level information into clear recommendations for owners and key stakeholders.
Throughout his career, Mark has worked at the intersection of real estate, finance, and ownership accountability. He has served in senior asset-management and risk leadership roles, participated in investment and governance committees, and advised on complex real estate and alternative-asset matters.
This background shapes 1011’s owner-first approach: disciplined financial review, independent operator oversight, thoughtful capital planning, and clear reporting designed to support better investment decisions.
Mark holds a Master of Science in Real Estate Finance and Investments from New York University. He is continuing to deepen his hospitality expertise through focused study in hotel real estate, hotel asset management, financial performance, industry analytics, and the relationship between hotel owners and operators.
Mark founded 1011 to bring institutional asset-management discipline and attentive owner representation to independent hotel owners who may not have an internal asset-management platform. He works collaboratively with hotel operators, brokers, lenders, attorneys, accountants, and other professionals while remaining firmly aligned with ownership’s investment objectives.
